Why pictures matter

There are people in your life who have a profound impact on you.

Maura scheduled a "Celebrating Motherhood" session with me because she wanted to pamper her mom for the day, and she wanted some pictures of the two of them. Maura and her mom, Karon, shared such a unique bond. It's like a bond I've never seen before. Their session was filled with so much love and laughter. Without a doubt it was a special day. Maura says it's a day she'll remember forever. It was a day that touched me as well.

Shortly after their session, Karon suffered a brain aneurysm and passed over into her eternal home. There is a huge hole in Maura's life now and the pain of losing her never goes away. She is so grateful for the day they spent with me for their shoot, and even more grateful she has wonderful images to remind her of the special bond they shared. Tomorrow isn't promised.
